Supporting Our Work

Since 2017, support raised through Calcutta Connect has helped PRDS expand educational opportunities and community programmes across South 24 Parganas.

A Long-Term Funding Partnership

Supporting educational opportunities and community development.

PRDS first connected with Calcutta Connect, an Irish charitable organisation, in 2016 through a shared commitment to supporting education and opportunity for children and young people in rural West Bengal.

Following visits to the communities where PRDS works and discussions between both organisations, a funding partnership began in 2017. Since then, support raised through Calcutta Connect has enabled PRDS to expand its programmes, invest in facilities and reach more children, young people and families across the communities we serve.

While PRDS remains fully responsible for the management and delivery of its programmes, the long-term support provided through this partnership has helped create greater educational opportunities and strengthen community-based initiatives.

The Importance of Long-Term Support

Creating Opportunities Through Sustained Investment

Meaningful change takes time. Building educational opportunities, strengthening communities and supporting children throughout their educational journey requires consistent investment over many years.

Support raised through Calcutta Connect has enabled PRDS to plan for the future, invest in facilities, employ local staff and expand programmes that benefit children, young people and families across the communities we serve.

This long-term commitment has helped create stronger foundations for the future and ensures that PRDS can continue providing opportunities for the next generation.

Looking Ahead

Supporting Opportunities for Future Generations

The progress achieved across our communities has been made possible through the generosity of supporters and the strength of long-term partnerships.

Together, we can continue creating opportunities for children, young people and families across South 24 Parganas for many years to come.
