Our Centres
Four community hubs providing education,
skills training and support
Explore Our Centres
Panikhali Centre
PRDS began in the village of Panikhali with a vision to provide educational opportunities for children from marginalised communities. Today, the centre includes five classrooms, a library, office and community meeting room, supporting hundreds of children and families each year.
Boria Centre
Our work in Boria began after local mothers requested educational support for their children. What started in two church buildings has grown into a modern education centre with classrooms, a computer lab, tailoring facilities, a library and community meeting spaces.
Alor Disha Centre
Located in Charadakatia village, Alor Disha provides pre-school education, follow-up coaching and community programmes. Since opening, the centre has expanded significantly and now includes classrooms, computer training facilities, tailoring training and a library.
Skills Training & Medical Centre
Based in Panikhali, the Skills Training & Medical Centre helps local people develop practical skills, generate income and access healthcare services. The centre hosts skills training programmes and regular medical camps delivered by visiting healthcare professionals.
Centres at a Glance
Every day our centres provide education, skills training and support to children, young people and families.
Supporting education in marginalised communities
PRDS works across rural communities in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, where many families rely on seasonal agriculture, fishing and daily wage labour for income.
Our centres are deeply rooted within the communities they serve, creating safe spaces for education, skills training, healthcare initiatives and community engagement.
By working closely with children, young people, parents and local women, we help create opportunities that strengthen both individuals and communities.
The Expansion of PRDS
What began with a single centre in Panikhali has grown into a network of four community hubs supporting education, skills training and community development.
